The Seashine is a versatile and high quality tandem kayak from the Czech brand Gumotex. Sitting at the top of their range alongside the Rush 2, the Seashine is narrower and longer than its stable mate for increased glide and efficiency when paddling. The dropstitch floor is 'V' shaped and runs into a pronounced upswept 'I beam' bow section for negotiating rougher seas with ease. Both the front and rear splash decks are supported by an aluminium strut which further stiffens the kayak and allows more of your paddle force to be transferred into forward motion, just like in a hard shell kayak.

The inflatable seats now come with push-push valves, as do the adjustable footrests so pumping them up can be done with the same adapter as the main chambers of the kayak. The kayak can be set up with 1 or 2 seats so a solo paddler can sit in the optimal position. It is possible to put a 3rd seat in the middle as well for a child if purchased as an optional extra.
There are cargo nets front and rear, strong carry handles and decklines for safety – even a drainage hole on the rear deck. A clip on skeg slides on the hull for additional tracking stability.

The Seashine comes as a standard open kayak, however there are two optional deck cover kits which convert the kayak into either a 1 or 2 person sea kayak with a full deck which can accept nylon spraydecks. These attach to velcro fittings surrounding the Seashine hull and come with additional aluminium struts to support the deck.

There is also an optional rudder which can be operated by foot pedals to create the ultimate expedition ready portable kayak.
