The Gumotex Solar is the ultimate in versatility with multiple seat position options that allows the Solar 2 to be paddled solo, tandem or even by 3 people (providing there is enough legroom). When used for solo or tandem the Solar has ample space for carrying gear which makes it an ideal choice for those looking to do longer trips. An optional third seat can be added for a child or small adult.

Like the majority of the Gumotex range the Solar is constructed from Nitrilon. This material is perfect for inflatable kayak construction delivering a quick drying, lightweight and highly durable kayak. The Solar packs down to a convenient size allowing it to be easily transported and stored, perfect for those short on space, or not wanting to lift a heavy kayak onto a car/van roofrack.

Due to its larger size, the Solar 2 could be considered the bigger brother of the Gumotex Twist 2, and has a higher carrying capacity and space onboard. The Solar person is primarily designed for placid water use and the ideal choice for lakes, canals and calm seas. However, the Solar will still perform well on faster moving rivers up to Grade 2.
